vCardr shows a contact you choose as a full-screen QR code so another phone can scan it and save the card. Here's how to get the most out of it — and how to get in touch if something's off.

Getting started

1. Open vCardr and allow access to Contacts so you can pick a card.
2. Choose My contact to set your own card, or Other contact to show someone else's.
3. Hold your screen up to the other person's camera — their phone offers to save the card.

Choosing which details to share

Swipe to reveal the source panel and use the checkbox next to each field to include or exclude it. Unchecked fields are left out of the QR code, so you can share a phone number without sharing, say, a home address.

Does vCardr need an internet connection?

No. Everything runs on your device, and your contacts never leave it.

Does the other person need vCardr?

No. Any modern phone camera can scan the code and offer to save the contact.

Why won't a very large contact fit?

QR codes have a capacity limit. vCardr drops photos automatically and, for very long cards, you can uncheck fields you don't need to share.

Which languages are supported?

English and German, following your device language automatically.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone on iOS 17 and later, and Android 8.0 or newer — the APK covers both arm64 and older 32-bit devices.

How do I install the Android APK?

Tap the download on the home page, then open the file. Because it does not come from the Play Store, Android asks once for permission to install from this source — allow it, and the install proceeds normally.
